How my journey began

Celine was born and raised in Ventura County in California, and attended local Ventura schools. She was heavily involved with local programs like the Children’s String Ensemble at Our Lady of the Assumption from 2007-2011. When she graduated she went to San Francisco State University to pursue a degree in music. While there she studied under the Alexander String Quartet and continued her teaching through Vibo Music Center. In 2015 she was inspired to jumpstart a free afterschool string orchestra program which she spearheaded and taught, a program that still continues today. After graduating in 2016 she headed back home and continued to pursue expanding her teaching and performing. With this she started a new program for pre-school at a community center called Music Land. Shortly after, she moved on to start becoming more involved with Ventura’s local music programs at various schools by coaching their upper string students. Eventually becoming a substitute teacher and long term subbing a music class, she has developed the ability to teach in and out of the classroom. With 12+ years of teaching under her belt she is able to share her knowledge and experiences with her students.

Celine wears many hats and has many passions. Her second passion, photography, she has been lucky to continue being a professional photographer along side being a professional musician. Ever since Celine can hold a camera she has constantly trying to be “the photographer”. Using her family, pets and anything she could photograph, she practiced her skills then eventually learning more about her craft in some classes her portfolio expanded. Ever since then she would be hired for small projects here and there furthering her skills and broadening her spectrum of subjects. Being hired as her universities’ official event photographer and later on a newborn photographer for the local hospital, she is constantly evolving. With 10+ years of experience she can creatively capture the moments you want.

What People Are Saying

“We have noticed immediate improvement in Eli's situation. He has renewed interest and focus in
the violin, never mind we can hear the difference in how he is playing. I can't thank you enough!!!”

- Family B.

“Celine is a wonderful violin teacher! Our daughter has been studying with Celine for years. Celine brings both rigor and warmth to the lessons as well as inspiration, guidance, and a close connection with the Ventura High School music program. Her lessons are engaging and personalized - our daughter never wants to to miss a lesson. And because she herself is a great musician, she has really helped our daughter to improve her violin skills. She now gets excellent marks in Master Class at school. I would highly recommend Celine for beginning through advanced students.”

— MICHELLE W.

“I’ve so loved working with Celine the past 4 years. She has really helped me improve technically as a musician, and she also helped me grow my love for music. I really recommend studying with Celine - my music journey in the VHS Honors String Orchestra wouldn’t have been the same without her!”

— TALIA W.

“Celine is an excellent violin instructor. She somehow manages to strike a perfect balance between focus and fun. She has an amazing ability to gear her lessons appropriate to age, ability and personality. She knew exactly what support my daughter needed and was able to connect with her and motivate her to push herself each week. My daughter actually requested me to book extra lessons with Celine when she was having trouble with a particular piece or was facing a chair challenge. This was a big change in attitude from previous teachers and speaks volumes about Celine’s ability to work with kids- a tweenager in this case.

Celine is easy going, responsible and a great communicator. If you are looking for a teacher who can make learning violin fun and without tears or undue stress, look no further. Celine is an excellent teacher, and she gets results.”

“My daughter started learning the violin during the pandemic and has really learned and loved

her lessons. It has been nice to have that consistency amidst all the changes in the last year.”
